Know yourself… One of the most commonly asked questions during the interview process is “tell me about yourself”. This is not a trick question, employers just want a little insight on who you are. The wrong answer is “what do you want to know”. This tells employers that during this interview you were only are telling them what they wanted to hear and not necessarily the truth.
Highlight Your Most Important Accomplishments- Use this as an opportunity to focus on your strengths and tell a memorable story that highlights your attributes.
Be Brief- The goal is to tell the employer enough to pique their interest, not so much that they wonder if they’d ever be able to shut you up during a coffee break at the office.
In the end the goal is to be memorable in good way. Separate yourself from all the other candidates. Practice your answer a few times before your interview until you feel confident and you’ll be sure to knock this question out of the ball park.
